Will you stay on Cerise (Cherry) or Poire (Pear), or one of the other named pitches at Parc Verger? Ideally situated in the "Heart of France" within a few kilometres of the N21, a convenient day’s drive from the Channel ports, Parc Verger has been developed by Bob and Di Banks in a beautiful part of the Perigord/Limousin Parc Naturel. The whole area is a joy to see, with forests and lakes, and of course the roads are a pleasure to use, with mainly excellent surfaces and little traffic.

Just a thirty-minute drive from Limoges, with its well-known porcelain museum and factories, Perigueux, Angouleme and Poitiers are all also an easy drive away. There are chateaux to visit in the local area, such as the Chateau de Brie, just 8km away, and many other places of interest, including the village of Oradour sur Glane, all of whose inhabitants were executed in the Second World War. The village now stands as a permanent memorial to them, and a visit here is a must when staying in the area.

For cyclists and walkers there is much to enjoy. Less than 100 yards from Park Verger is a mainly level 15km path that runs from Oradour sur Vayres to Chalus, along the line of an old railway track, whilst for those wanting more strenuous exercise there are many attractive routes to places of interest. Cycles are available at Parc Verger if you do not carry your own.

So make Parc Verger your natural stopping-off point whilst in France – the first French site designed for RVs and motorhomes with large fully-serviced hard standings and plenty of manœuvring room. A day’s drive from the Channel ports (from Le Havre to Roscoff - rather longer from Calais, but many visitors have achieved this in a day), and a day’s drive from the Spanish border – the perfect location, with the plus factors of the beautiful Limousin to enjoy whilst you are here.

Winter at Parc Verger
Come and share winter at Parc Verger with Bob and Di and others who have booked in for three months or more, and enjoy our very low charges. Yes, we have frosty mornings, but the sun is warmer this much further south, so your activities are not as limited as they are in the dark grey rainy days in the UK. Our wifi means that you can keep in touch with the family, and there is plenty to do in this beautiful area.
Should you need to visit the UK during your stay here, Limoges airport is only 30 minutes away, and offers direct flights to the UK. Your RV, motorhome or caravan will be perfectly safe, as the site is never left unattended.
Email us at pvbureau@parcverger.com, or ring 0844 232 8500 (3p/min from BT lines) and we'll be happy to give you more information.
