| Will
you stay on Cerise (Cherry) or Poire (Pear), or one of the seven other named
pitches at Parc Verger? Ideally situated in the "Heart of France"
within a few kilometres of the N21, a convenient day’s drive from
the Channel ports, Parc Verger is being developed by Bob and Di Banks Our
life in an RV in a beautiful part of the Perigord/Limousin Parc Naturel
.The whole area is a joy to see, with forests and lakes, and of course the
roads are a pleasure to use, with mainly excellent surfaces and little traffic.
With nine level and fully-serviced hardstandings, all large enough for motorhomes up to 40ft, the site is open all year. It is thus suitable for not just a holiday stay at any time of the year, but also for a stop on the journey to and from Spain. Just a thirty-minute drive from Limoges, with its well-known porcelain museum and factories, Perigueux, Angouleme and Poitiers are all also an easy drive away. There are chateaux to visit in the local area, such as the Chateau de Brie, just 8km away, and many other places of interest, including the village of Oradour sur Glane, all of whose inhabitants were executed in the Second World War. The village now stands as a permanent memorial to them, and a visit here is a must when staying in the area. For cyclists and walkers there is much to enjoy. Less than 100 yards from Park Verger is a mainly level 15km path that runs from Oradour sur Vayres to Chalus, along the line of an old railway track, whilst for those wanting more strenuous exercise there are many attractive routes to places of interest. Cycles are available at Parc Verger if you do not carry your own.
